- Kopi Luwak: Kopi Luwak is one of the most exclusive and unusual types of coffee in the world and is also known as “civet coffee” or “cat coffee”. The coffee beans are eaten by a nocturnal creeping cat species called luwak (or civet) and collected from their feces after digestion. During the digestion process, the bean undergoes enzymatic changes in the stomach of the luwak, which are intended to improve the taste of the coffee and produce a milder, less bitter coffee.
