Ko Lanta
Ko Lanta (เกาะลันตา) or Koh Lanta is a group of islands in the Andaman Sea off the Thai coast. It is located in the province of Krabi on the west coast of Thailands and consists of the two main islands Ko Lanta Yai and Ko Lanta Noi.

Dry season
The dry season on Ko Lanta lasts from November to April. During this time, the weather is sunny and dry with pleasant temperatures. The water temperatures also remain warm and are ideal for swimming and diving.
Rainy season
The rainy season from May to October is less crowded and often offers cheaper accommodation and activities. Although it can rain, there are many sunny days and the landscape is particularly green and lush during this time. However, it should be noted that heavy, short rain showers can occur and the humidity can be very high.

Long Beach

Long Beach, also known as Pra Ae Beach, is one of the most popular and beautiful beaches on Ko Lanta. It stretches along the west coast of Ko Lanta Yai and lies roughly in the middle of the island.

- With a length of approx. 4 km, it is one of the longest beaches on Ko Lanta, hence its name.

Nui Bay

- Nui Bay is relatively remote and can only be reached via an unpaved road that branches off the main road.
- The beach is surrounded by lush vegetation and offers a spectacular view of the turquoise waters of the Andaman Sea.
- Due to its remote location, Nui Bay is often quiet and peaceful. The bay is less frequented than other beaches on Ko Lanta.
- There are only a few facilities along the beach.

- Bamboo Beach offers opportunities for swimming, sunbathing, snorkeling and relaxing.
- But beware of the monkeys that live there. They also like to search the bathers’ belongings for food.
Mu Ko Lanta

Mu Ko Lanta is a national park on the southern tip of Ko Lanta Yai, encompassing parts of the Ko Lanta archipelago and the surrounding waters.

- The national park is home to a wide variety of plant and animal species, including coral reefs, marine animals, birds and much more.
- A fee is payable to enter or drive on it.
- The Leam Tanod Nature Trail is an approx. 1.2 km long hiking trail in Mu Ko Lanta National Park, which leads through dense rainforest with inclines to a panoramic view of the surrounding landscape and the coast of Ko Lanta.
- Along the way there are information boards and signs about the native flora and fauna and the protection of the rainforest.
- There is a lighthouse on a small headland that offers good views.
