Ko Lipe
Ko Lipe (เกาะหลีเป๊ะ) or Koh Lipe is a beautiful Thai island in the southern part of the Andaman Sea. It is part of the Tarutao National Marine Park and is located in the province of Satun near the Malaysian border.

Pattaya Beach

Pattaya Beach (Hat Phattaya) is one of the main beaches on Ko Lipe. It stretches along the west coast of the island and is known for its lively atmosphere and vibrant nightlife.

- Pattaya Beach stretches over a considerable length of around 800 to 1,000 meters.
- It impresses with a picturesque panorama of fine white sand and the turquoise waters of the Andaman Sea.
- Pattaya Beach offers numerous water sports such as snorkeling, diving, kayaking and jet skiing and is the starting point for many tours.
- In addition to water sports, the beach is ideal for sunbathing and relaxing.
- There are numerous restaurants, bars and beach cafés along the beach offering delicious Thai dishes, fresh seafood and refreshing drinks.
- Although Pattaya Beach is located on the western coast of the island, it offers spectacular sunsets over the horizon of the Andaman Sea. However, the sunsets are most beautiful from Sunset Beach.
- Occasionally, beach parties are organized on Pattaya Beach by the local resorts or beach bars.
- In contrast to some other party destinations in Thailand, the nightlife on Ko Lipe is more relaxed and less crowded.
- The ferries to and from Malaysia go via Bundhaya Ferry Station . On arrival from the neighboring Malaysian island of Langkawi (Pulau Langkawi) , you will receive the Thai entry stamp directly on the beach.
Walking Street

The main street of Ko Lipe is a busy and bustling road that runs through the center of the island. Although it has no official name, it is often called Walking Street or simply “Main Street”.

- Walking Street stretches from the landing stage to the beaches in the south of the island. It is the main artery of the island and connects different areas with each other.
- There are numerous stores, restaurants, bars and cafés along the street.
- The main street is also home to a number of tourist information offices, travel agencies, diving schools, bureaux de change and other tourist facilities.
- As Ko Lipe is a small island, there are no motorized vehicles on the road.
- During the day, the street is often busy and frequented by tourists, locals and traders.
- In the evening, Walking Street comes to life when the restaurants and bars set up their tables and liven up the street with lights and music.
- The road connects the east and west sides of Ko Lipe. It takes about 10 minutes to get from Pattaya Beach to Sunrise Beach.
Sunrise Beach

Sunrise Beach (Hat Chao Ley) is located on the east side of the island and is one of the longest beaches on Ko Lipe. As the name suggests, it is known for its breathtaking sunrises over the sea.

Sunset Beach (Hat Pramong) on Ko Lipe is a breathtaking beach on the Thai island. It is located on the west side of the island and offers a magnificent view of the sunset over the Andaman Sea.

- Sunset Beach is known for its soft, golden sand and calm, clear water.
- The sunset on the beach is spectacular and attracts many visitors.
- Sunset Beach is generally quieter and less busy than some other beaches on Ko Lipe.
- Although the area is less known for snorkeling and diving, there are some interesting underwater landscapes and coral reefs nearby.
- There are a number of resorts, bungalows and beach restaurants along Sunset Beach that offer visitors accommodation and food.
- From Walking Street you can reach Sunset Beach in about 10 – 15 minutes. The path to Sunset Beach is on the right-hand side shortly after the Art Garden Bar .
